Connecting the Bagnères de Bigorre valley to the “Pays Toy”, the Toumalet pass is certainly the most prestigious of the Pyrenees, offering both length of climb, large height differences and gradient, and of course beautiful scenery.

From Luz Saint Sauveur (west): 18,3 km – (height difference : 1400m) – gradient (%) : 7,6 aver. / 9,5 max.
From Sainte Marie de Campan (east): 17,4 km – (height difference : 1300m) – gradient (%) : 7,4 aver. / 10 max.
The Tourmalet pass has been crossed 47 times by the Tour de France since 1947.
